Siem Reap Province Welcomes Advanced Corn Farming Technology

Phnom Penh, March 28, 2024 - A groundbreaking corn farm, sprawling over approximately 1,000 hectares, has been inaugurated in Siem Reap province, thanks to a collaboration between AG AGRIBUSINESS ASIA (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD and ING Holdings Co., Ltd. The ceremonial launch took place on March 25, 2024, with notable attendees including Mr. Ing Kimleang, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap, Mr. Benjamin Bootle, Managing Director of AG AGRIBUSINESS ASIA, and Mr. Ing Siv Khov, Director of ING Holdings, among other distinguished officials.

Located in Meanchey commune, Prasat Bakong district, the farm is set to revolutionize Cambodian agriculture by implementing the latest in agricultural technology. This initiative aims not only to boost the competitiveness of Siem Reap's agricultural products but also to modernize the region's farming practices significantly.

Mr. Ing Siv Khov emphasized the farm's objective to transform Siem Reap’s agricultural scene through advanced technology, reflecting a commitment to innovation and sustainability. This partnership marks a significant step forward in agricultural development, positioning Siem Reap at the forefront of technological adoption in the sector.

Deputy Governor Mr. Ing Kimleang expressed his gratitude towards AG AGRIBUSINESS ASIA and ING Holdings for selecting Siem Reap for this pioneering venture.
